EBT START PROGRAM CLINICS

The Equine Body Therapy START (Soft Tissue Assessment & Response Testing) Program is a unique system of carrying out sequential checks that provide specific indicators to soft tissue injuries. The best part of the EBT START Program is that it enables early detection before a general soreness becomes a long term injury. It utilises a specific set of assessment tests and indicators to establish a detailed insight to the soft tissue health of the horse. So often, underlying problems are the primary cause for poor performance and unwanted behaviour.

EBT START program is suitable and safe for those searching for more information to enhance their knowledge of their own horses’ health and well-being. This program over the years has been attended by a variety of people including novice horse owners, farriers, hoof trimmers, massage therapists, veterinarians and professionals in the racing industry. Participants have come from a range of backgrounds and age groups from 15 to 75 years of age. Courses are generally limited to 10-12 participants per class to ensure individual attention.

The course is designed with the first four EBT START modules tailored towards the horse owner for the management of their own horses. Modules 1 to 4 are two day courses. For those who wish to continue their equine learning, Modules 5 to 8 are each four-day courses and are designed to enable the student to become a qualified Equine Body Therapy practitioner.

Equine Body Therapy is listed on the International Institute of Complementary Therapies as an IICT Approved Training Provider.

“ I couldn’t recommend the Equine Body Therapy workshops more highly! Sue and Kim have been so generous with their knowledge, time & patience. The course modules are well structured and broad based.”

SELF INTEREST CLINICS

Equine Body Therapy START program workshops are designed with the first four EBT START modules tailored towards the horse owner for the management of their own horses. Modules 1 to 4 are two day courses and most clinics are conducted at Sue Parker’s Springmount facility which consists of a large stable complex with a comfortable classroom.

Equine Body Therapy course participants are provided with the skills to systematically assess a horse and develop an understanding of the areas of the body that are contributing to soreness, imbalance and other issues. Sue teaches you how to use her chart that breaks the horse up into five areas of the body.

The self-interest courses lay the foundation skills for future EBT practitioner courses. It is easy to follow and you will look at your horse in an entirely new light.

You will learn a gentle passive joint movement technique that is unique to Equine Body Therapy that will establish a foundation for each of the following modules.

Prices of courses will be subject to venue location and travel costs.
Courses are generally limited to 10-12 participants per class.

“Over the years I have had many masseurs and even chiropractors treat my horses but it wasn’t until I discovered Sue and EBT that I saw the most incredible and instant results that I have ever seen in my horses”

“I couldn’t recommend the Equine Body Therapy workshops more highly! Sue and Kim have been so generous with their knowledge, time & patience. The course modules are well structured and broad based. It completely changes the way you look at horses. It enables you to identify problems and then treat. Can’t wait for Module 6!”

Leeonie Stephens, EBT Student Practitioner

“Grateful to be an EBT student and learning. Sue and Kim have knowledge, skills and experience of what is required of equine bodywork in industry. Offer direction for techniques, knowledge and hands on as much as possible. Both are different in themselves however cover a broad spectrum of learning styles for all students. Looking forward to the future, on completion to gain qualifications in the equine industry as an EBT practitioner and to be out working in industry. I’m very grateful to be able to change career paths whilst still being able to use my current qualifications alongside equine bodywork. Recommend studying with EBT”

“Over the years I have had many masseurs and even chiropractors treat my horses but it wasn’t until I discovered Sue and EBT that I saw the most incredible and instant results that I have ever seen in my horses, I was so impressed by the way Sue could ‘read’ their muscles and then know with precision where that pain was coming from, that I knew there and then I need to know this stuff!

I realise how vital this knowledge and skills are to have as a horse owner and teacher, so I embarked on the journey of becoming a practitioner. It’s honestly the best journey I have ever embarked on. It is incredibly rewarding to see the positive results and relief that horses express after their treatments. I feel indebted to Sue for sharing her talent and empowering me with these skills so I can give back to these ever deserving equines.”
